Latin American choral masterworks led by Ariel Ramírez’s Misa Criolla, sung at Holy Name Catholic Church, the church where the Louisville Chorus was founded in 1939.
The Misa Criolla sets the Mass to the folk rhythms of Argentina, and it is one of the great choral works of the twentieth century. Singing it at Holy Name, where this chorus began as the Holy Name Choral Club, is the point. The program repeats May 16 in New Albany.
