The Louisville Chorus opens its 2026-27 season alongside the Louisville Youth Choir and Orchestra, with a program built around the songs that have carried people through: spirituals, anthems, and the music of the American civil rights tradition.
Two generations of Louisville singers share one stage for the season opener, the younger ensemble and the older one trading and then joining. It is the clearest statement of what this season is about: a hundred voices from one city, singing the same music in every tongue that city speaks.
