Louisville Chorus · Kentucky’s longest continuously performing chorus, Louisville, Kentucky.
Big Band Christmas, with the Derby City Jazz Orchestra, 4:00 PM performance, is presented by the Louisville Chorus on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at 4pm to 5pm, at The Broadway Theater, 816 East Broadway, Louisville, KY 40204.
Christmas the way Louisville heard it in 1946: the Louisville Chorus fronting the Derby City Jazz Orchestra in a full big-band holiday program at The Broadway Theater, sung twice on December 5, at 2:30 and 4:00 PM. Free admission, and seating is first come, first served.
Swung arrangements of the standards, brass and reeds where an organ would usually be, and a room built for exactly this. It is one of Louisville’s free Christmas concerts this December. Free tickets can be reserved and they go fast, but a reservation holds your place in line, not a seat: seating is first come, first served, so arrive early. This is the 4:00 PM performance; the same program is sung at 2:30 PM.
First come, first served. A free ticket reservation holds your place in line, not a seat. Seating at both performances is first come, first served, so plan to arrive early.
Big Band Christmas is presented through the generous sponsorship of Key Outreach.
