The Fleur de Lis Singers, the chamber ensemble of the Louisville Chorus, sing weddings throughout Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Live voices in the room rather than a recording, a single soloist over a track, or a playlist. We sing the ceremony, the reception, or both.
The Louisville Chorus performs regularly at Cathedral of the Assumption, Holy Name Catholic Church, St. Brigid, Saint Michael, and St. Mary of the Annunciation in New Albany. These are the rooms Louisville weddings happen in, and we already know how they sound. We are equally at home in a garden ceremony, a historic home, or a reception ballroom.
Pricing is by ensemble size: four singers for $1,000, eight singers for $1,800, and sixteen singers for $3,000. A rehearsal is included in every wedding booking. Bookings need at least sixty days of notice, and we travel anywhere within 100 miles of Louisville Metro, which covers most of Kentuckiana and a good deal of southern Indiana.
We can provide an accompanist, or sing with the organist or pianist your venue already uses, whichever suits the ceremony. We coordinate with parish music directors routinely, so if your church has its own rules about outside musicians, that is a conversation we have all the time rather than an obstacle.
The repertoire covers the processional and the recessional, sacred and classical music, hymns and liturgical settings, and the standards. We will learn a piece specifically for your ceremony, and we write custom arrangements when a song matters and no arrangement exists.
The Louisville Chorus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1939 and is the longest continuously performing choral organization in Kentuckiana. Booking us puts professional-caliber voices at your wedding and supports eighty-seven seasons of choral music in this city.
